‘…a contemporary Australian masterpiece….’
Gareth Beal, Arts Hub, November 10th 2011
Atwell’s script always voiced its characters convincingly. He has a knack for getting what goes on in blokes’ heads into their mouths. He illuminates the tender feelings that are often suppressed in male friendships poignantly, too. This feels like a less angry, more expressive play. Funnier, too, thanks to its splashes of gallows humour. As before, Atwell also directs, and the performances he draws from his cast are truthful and moving“

‘an engrossing night of theatre, we left having been given an experience – rather than just having watched a performance’
David Spicer, Stage Whispers November 13th 2011
Above all, BONDI DREAMING is a play about how terribly, terribly wrong peoples lives can go when they err badly in judgment. Life goes crunch! William Shakespeare wrote, ‘to err is human, to forgive divine’. The hope is that Chan and Sukumaran can get Presidential clemency
