The Mercy Campaign formed in Melbourne, Australia after a group of Reprieve volunteers decided to set up a social media campaign to assist in the clemency application of Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran. We are four young lawyers and a journalist, who oppose the death penalty. Four of us have worked previously on capital trials in the U.S. With the help of interns, filmmakers, academics, web designers, lawyers, graphic artists, students and others, we are volunteering to help send a simple message to the Indonesian president: please spare the life of Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran.
Very pleased to announce that we’ve brought on a second Producer for the 2011 show.
